2016 Honda Pilot Earns Highest Possible IIHS Safety Rating

Honda’s latest crossover is also one of its safest. It received the highest score of “Good” in every single IIHS crash test, earning the title of "Top Safety Pick" the organization. The new Pilot did remarkably well in the difficult small-overlap frontal crash test. There was a low risk of serious injury with only four inches of intrusion into the passenger area, and plenty of head protection from multiple airbags.

The Pilot’s available Honda Sensing suite also received a superior rating from the IIHS, earning the Top Safety Pick+ rating when equipped. This amazing package of safety features is designed to take driving safety to the next level using radar and video sensing technologies. It includes forward collision warning, collision mitigating braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control.
