2017 Honda CR-V Set to Raise Bar in Popular Compact SUV Segment

America's best-selling SUV is now even better

When it comes to choosing the right compact SUV, you simply can’t go wrong with the Honda CR-V. For 2017, America’s best-selling SUV gains more features making it not only the popular choice but the smart one, too.

Stylish and satisfying new design

While the CR-V has always been a crowd-pleaser, the 2017 version takes its design in a fresh new direction, thanks to its crisp and sharp front-end elements and aggressively stylized headlights surrounded by a wing-shaped LED DRL array on all trims.

The 2017 CR-V’s new duds aren’t just for show, though. The all-new body and chassis design provide agile and confident handling, ensuring a comfortable yet thrilling ride each and every time.

Turbocharged performance

The 2017 CR-V will feature its new turbocharged 1.5-liter, inline four-cylinder engine in EX and higher trims. The new powertrain features a double overhead camshaft, which allows the engine to produce more power and run better at higher speeds, and employs direct-injection technology for increased operating efficiency. Total power output is rated at 190 horsepower, with the 2017 CR-V poised to deliver incredibly refined and responsive performance across the engine’s full operating range.

A premium interior with advanced technology

For technology enthusiasts, the 2017 CR-V will offer the latest in-vehicle connectivity. Available features include a seven-inch touchscreen Display Audio interface with Android operating system as well as an available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™, which was developed in cooperation with the experts at Garmin®.

The CR-V’s Display Audio System is also compatible with both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ platforms, giving customers seamless integration of popular smartphone features, including smartphone-powered GPS navigation and voice-controlled search capabilities.

A greater sense of safety

The 2017 CR-V will further expand the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies by making it standard equipment on EX and higher trims.

The robust safety suite is filled with a number of technologies designed to provide the utmost peace of mind for drivers and occupants. Highlights include Collision Mitigation Braking (CMBS) with Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and pedestrian sensing capability, Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), to name a few.

Raising the bar… again

Redesigned and reengineered, the 2017 CR-V will boast a more premium interior, the model’s first-ever turbocharged engine, and a host of new features and technologies aimed at maintaining the CR-V’s place as America’s best-selling SUV for the past 20 years.
