The All-New Honda Civic Hatchback (Finally) Arrives This Fall

New Euro-inspired model will serve as basis for the Civic Type-R

This fall, the Honda Civic Hatchback will be available in North America.

The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is a new, Euro-inspired twist on the 2016 North American Car of the Year, offering five-door versatility along with sporty styling and a premium interior. The new model will be available in five trims (LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Sport Touring), all powered by the same 1.5-liter DOHC direct-injected turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine. Horsepower and torque will range from 174 to 180 and 162 lb-ft to 177 lb-ft respectively, based on trim level and transmission (CVT or six-speed manual).

Further improving on the 10th-generation Civic lineup, the 2017 Hatchback perfectly encapsulates the marriage of form and function, with its rigid and lightweight body working in concert with its turbocharged powertrain. Similarly, the interior of the vehicle not only comes equipped with modern, sophisticated materials and styling, but also class-leading volume and cargo capacity.
