The base model Civic LX and new Civic Sport both come with a 158 horsepower 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine, while the premium EX, EX-L, and Touring packages utilize a turbocharged upgrade that boosts performance to an impressive 174 horsepower. In the handling, you’ll feel the advantage of the Civic’s longer wheelbase and wider, more aggressive stance, especially with the standard MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspensions. All packages offer an automatic Continuously Variable Transmission, which is matched to each available engine type to optimize power without sacrificing fuel efficiency.
