2023 Honda Ridgeline

Overview

Honda successfully walks the line between utility and recreation with the 2023 Honda Ridgeline, a mid-size pickup truck that combines rugged good looks with a surprisingly large array of upscale features. The Ridgeline boasts a 5,000-lb. towing capacity, proving it can go the distance while hauling any weekend warrior’s favorite toys. Honda adds to the 2023 Ridgeline’s appeal with innovative safety and driver-assist technology. It is offered as a four-door crew cab featuring a five-foot bed at all trim levels.

The Perfect Ride For...

Those who value comfort and fuel efficiency over maximum towing and capacity. Equally as at home on city streets, as it is on the worksite, the 2023 Honda Ridgeline is for the driver who wants a pickup truck but also wants the tech, amenities, and comfortable ride offered by an SUV. Sporting a rugged exterior, the 2023 Honda Ridgeline also appeals to truck enthusiasts tired of the commonplace box-on-frame mid-sized trucks and favors a vehicle put together like a passenger vehicle, but with off-road capacity. Offered in four trims with seating for five, Ridgeline boasts a top-in-class rating for its interior comfort and practicality.

Drive and Handling

Honda's 2023 Ridgeline is a mid-size pickup offered in four trims: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and the fully loaded Black Edition, each with a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs.  All four trims offer a direct fuel-injected 3.5-liter, V6 engine with 280 hp at 6,000 rpm, as well as 262 lb.-ft. at 4,700 rpm, enabling the 2023 Ridgeline to go from 0 to 60 in 6.3 seconds.

Unlike others in its class, the 2023 Ridgeline is built as a unibody, without a separate frame and box, enabling it to offer the driving comfort of an SUV, but the towing and carrying capacity of a small truck. The 2023 Honda Ridgeline has an EPA rating of 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. All trim levels include Honda's Sensing Driver Assistance technology, and feature MacPherson Strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension for a comfortable ride. Since its 2020 model year, the Ridgeline has featured a 9-speed automatic transmission, with all-wheel drive standard.

Key Features

Technology Features

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard. This latest version features Honda’s updated physical volume knobs and screen icons designed for easier, more precise control, while the touchscreen still allows drivers to easily touch and swipe their way through their entertainment selections.

Honda’s 2023 Ridgeline also keeps drivers connected with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both standard. Honda’s available satellite-linked navigation is a step above the typical phone GPS, with 3-D renderings of topography, traffic signs, and surrounding buildings. An additional navigation feature provides optional off-road mapping, making all-terrain adventures even more inviting. The top two trims come equipped with Honda’s in-bed audio system, an industry first. Owners can turn the Ridgeline's cargo bed into a huge speaker, giving a big boost to any tailgate party.

Safety Features

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline uses tech for more than just entertainment. As with other vehicles in the automaker’s 2023 lineup, the Ridgeline has an array of driver-assist technology as standard. Among key standard safety features are adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist, as well as forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking. Also standard on all trim levels is Honda's vehicle stability assist with traction control feature, helping to enhance safety, particularly over rough terrain. In addition to standard features, the Ridgeline comes with a blind spot information system and cross-traffic monitoring sensors as optional, all available on the top three trims.
