2024 Honda Accord

Overview

In a field crowded with bland SUVs, the 2024 Honda Accord checks all the boxes for those still looking for an affordable, capable mid-size family sedan. Entry-level trims are powered by a spunky turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, but the more popular models will feature a four-cylinder hybrid system. Both versions come with front-wheel drive only. Following a style update in 2023 that had the Accord emerge more stylish than ever, the 2024 Honda Accord sees few changes for 2024. The latest Accord offers spacious seating and plenty of cargo room in the trunk, along with a generous load of today's latest tech. Add responsive handling and confident suspension to the mix and the 2024 Honda Accord becomes hard to beat.

Who's It For?

While SUVs have continued to dominate the marketplace, that means that sedan-minded vehicle buyers have fewer options below the luxury car level. Enter the 2024 Honda Accord delivering a responsive, comfortable ride, and spacious seating for five. Seeking out a sedan doesn't mean drivers will have to settle when it comes to good looks. SUV-weary consumers will appreciate the 2024 Honda Accord's modern styling and roomy interior, not to mention its generous tech offerings. For those who prize fuel efficiency, the 2024 Honda Accord delivers with hybrid options on four of its seven trim levels.

What's New for 2024?

The 2024 Honda Accord is a part of the 11th Accord generation introduced with a major redesign in 2023. It has no significant changes for 2024.

Real World Performance

The 2024 Honda Accord offers the LX and EX trims powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder gas-powered engine delivering 192 horsepower with front-wheel drive through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). But the hybrid versions—offered on the Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring trims—dominate the lineup, featuring a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors delivering 204 horsepower. Both provide plenty of power to the Accord.

Although there are not any obvious changes for 2024, the latest Honda Accord arrives with its refined suspension and responsive steering intact. The 2024 Accord may not offer major changes from the previous year, but for a sedan that is already a crowd-pleaser, that isn't a bad thing. The 2024 Accord offers quick acceleration and handles curves and corners with ease. The Accord is quick, at a more-than-satisfactory 6.6-second zero-to-60 mph time for hybrid models and 7.3 seconds for the gas-powered trims. For drivers looking for an option in an SUV-saturated market, this sedan won't disappoint, with precise steering, well-controlled body motion, and enough power to merge and pass with confidence.
