Overview
Honda’s already thrown its hat into the electric vehicle ring with the Clarity sedan, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for some buyers. The 2024 Prologue fixes that by aiming straight for the lucrative midsize SUV segment. Longer and wider than its closest sibling, the CR-V, the Prologue takes full advantage with a low, hunkered-down look that just oozes sportiness. Inside, the Prologue boasts an uncluttered design that puts ergonomics first. The airy cabin also boasts a tremendous amount of cargo space with an available power liftgate for that touch of convenience. You’ll find the Prologue in EX, Touring, and Elite trims, with the latter solely available in AWD form.

- Power – 288 hp (dual motor)
- Torque – 333 lb-ft (dual motor)

What’s New For 2024?
Everything about the 2024 Honda Prologue. After all, it’s a brand-new model on a brand-new platform co-developed in partnership with General Motors. It even features the Honda name spelled out at the rear in a new, distinctive stylized typeface—a feature not yet seen on any other production model. Nevertheless, the Prologue offers much of the practical goodness that defines the Honda lineup.
Who’s It For?
The first adopter with a practical side. Smart technology can be found all throughout the 2024 Honda Prologue’s cabin, including the Google built-in feature with handy apps like Google Assistant and Google Maps. Using the 11.3-inch touchscreen display gets even easier thanks to the finger rest feature, designed to give users a steadier hand. You’ll also find USB-C charging ports throughout the cabin, especially near the Prologue’s expansive multi-use tray, located within the EV’s two-tier center console. A console-mounted shifter also helps free up space, lending an airy look and feel to an already spacious EV. Choose the Elite trim and you’ll find yourself supported by comfortable ventilated seats trimmed in perforated leather with accent-colored stitching. An available heated steering wheel helps knock off chills on those frosty mornings.
Real-World Performance
The 2024 Honda Prologue starts out with a single electric motor powering the front wheels, coupled with an 85-kilowatt-hour battery. Models equipped with 4WD automatically gain a dual-motor setup with an additional motor powering the rear wheels. The result is 288 total horsepower and a rather healthy 333 pound-feet of torque at your command. Available DC fast charging makes topping up a quick and simple affair. When properly equipped, the Prologue can recover 65 miles of range in a scant 10 minutes, at a charge rate of 155 kilowatts.
The Active Sound Control feature reminds you of your forward progress through a variety of low-to-high frequency sounds played depending on acceleration and deceleration. If you want a more engaging drive, simply switch to Sport mode, and enjoy firmer handling, enhanced throttle and steering response, and an increase in braking power, among other perks.
