Honda goes beyond just really cold air conditioning—it has created models that intelligently manage the sweltering heat of the season. Here are some of our favorite standard and available features that make Honda models an oasis all summer long.
Comprehensive Controls
Honda passengers can enjoy dual-zone and tri-zone automatic climate control systems with intuitive air temperature sensors, humidity control, and air filtration systems. The dual-zone and tri-zone systems offer separate temperature and airflow settings for the driver and passengers. The temperature sensors help the system to know when the desired cabin temperature has been reached and automatically reduces airflow to maintain that temperature instead of continuing to blast cold air. The climate control center knobs in some new models even change colors from cool blue to warm red to reflect the setting. Some models even have humidity control, which helps reduce moisture in the cabin, keeping you and your passengers feeling fresh.
Refreshing Interior Features
There's nothing more refreshing on a hot day than opening all the windows and the moonroof and feeling the wind blow through your hair. Honda models really make it a breeze with one-touch power moonroofs. With the single press of a button, the moonroof opens and you can breathe again. It's important to stay hydrated throughout the summer, so keeping water or your favorite drink on hand is important. Honda models have beverage holders in all rows, so passengers are within arms reach of an ice-cold drink at all times. Whether you're on a long road trip or toting kids to baseball practice, hydration is always within arm's reach. Models equipped with the available leather-trimmed seats can provide quick personal ventilation for passengers in the front and rear outboard seats.
The perforations in the leather wick air away from the occupant, quickly cooling to a comfortable temperature. This feature is putting an end to the days of sticking to your seat every time you get in and getting out with a puddle of sweat behind your back. Of course, the sun can bake a car like an oven, so Honda offers integrated window shades in some models, like certain trims of the Honda Pilot SUV and Odyssey minivan. The shades are conveniently built into the door frame and easily slide up to shade passengers in the 2nd and 3rd rows. When not in use, the shades slide down and disappear into the door.
HondaLink® and CabinControl™
Thanks to the latest in Honda connectivity, drivers can enjoy a pre-conditioned cabin before they even open the car door. Using the remote control functions in the HondaLink® and CabinControl™ apps, you can use your paired smartphone to adjust cabin climate settings without stepping foot outside.
